Back to school

Well I'm back in Glasgow now, and I know I haven't blogged in a while but that's just because I'm a third year and everything's the worst, but these past two days have been so ridiculous I just had to come back to the interwebs.
Well school started yesterday and as usual we were in the same old AHTC, or the hell mouth as we are calling it now. Over break I think I made my peace with the AHTC and decided that we were just going to be stuck in there for better or for worse and that maybe this term it wouldn't be so bad. Boy was I wrong. We arrived into class, took our seats and began lecture, only 10 min late because the projectors weren't working. Apparently it was too much work for the IT people to check that the lecture theatre was functioning before school started, of course it was. So once everything was running smoothly we began epidemiology. Only 15 min later the projector turned off. So poor Dom, our lecturer, ran up the stairs to the top of the room to turn it back on. Again 15 min later it happened again, again up the stairs, again it turned off, and on and on all day through all classes from 9 am to 2 pm. So that was the first day. Our reps were on it a said that tech people would fix it by today.
So this morning we decided that we might try to take the school shuttle to the vet school since wee don't have bus passes yet and  we can't get return tickets before 9 am, becaus that totally makes sense. So we got to the bus station, waited and waited, and no shuttle. So we ended up having to take a cab and made it to class with 10 min to spare, so much for saving money. Also it was raining the whole time we were outside. So back to class and were thinking that the projector was fixed. Silly us of course not! I also should mention that in this lecture theatre there are 2 projectors, one is not hooking up to any computer and the other has a bulb that is running out. There seem to be Any number of easy solutions to this problem, but of course none was found in the last day, so 15 min into class off goes the projector! At least this time someone at the top of the lecture theatre turned it on for our poor lecturer so he didn't have to keep running up and down the stairs.
At the break our prof left and then came back with another projector that he set up in the front of the lecture theatre. It was a bit ridiculous but at least it didn't turn off all the time.
After lunch we were greeted with a new projector propped up in the middle of the lecture theatre, taking up 2 seats, and hooked up to a students computer because of profs shut down when they plugged it in it shut down. The whole thing is verging on ridiculousness, and I'm I'll to top it all off, so its been an interesting first 2 days of class. On a lighter note exams may be up soon so that's good, unless I fail in which case maybe not so much. This is certainly starting off to be an interesting term. Now the question is will the projector be fixed but tomorrow? We should take bets.
