This past weekend was our half-way ball which was super fun! It's to celebrate us 3rd years making it half way through vet school! Crazy that we're closer to being vets than ever before, basically 1.5 years of school left then its rotations and we're done! scary! But it was a really lovely evening (though I use that term loosely as we ARE all vets, so it wasn't all classy) but all things considered it was an amazing night. Everyone looks amazing and we had a blast! One of our pharm profs sat at my table so we chatted a bit which was really nice! I even got honorable mention in the speech about our class! On Sun we went to brunch at this new place and it was really good! I got a deconstructed breakfast burrito, and tried some of the french toast which was tasty as well.
This week not much happening, it'll be nice to have a free weekend to really get some work done. I also just booked a spot at the BSAVA conference in Birmingham during Easter break. Its 4 days, and set me back a whopping 156 quid (yikes!) but it counts for 1 week of EMS and my flatmate and I booked some extra lectures on haematology and incomplete margins, both things we are learning about and will most likely be examined on in May for multiple classes, so we were pretty excited about those! Plus it gives us some time in a new part of the country and we can meet vets from other schools, also that week of EMS is pretty nice! So that's me at 12 weeks now for this year, and 17 total!
sounds like fun stuff!!! Keep writing :)
