Its been a slow couple of days at the hospital. The kitten that came in the other day we took to surgery and surgically repaired her distal humeral fracture. It was a littler nerve wracking for the vet, think operating on a chicken leg, but she recovered very well, that cheeky monkey! We also used sevo on her, which I had never seen before so that was pretty cool. There haven't been a ton of cases, thats the crux of working referral, but what can you do. I came in Friday and there were a bunch of puppies and a snake came in, so that was super adorable! Then a cat came in with a large abdominal mass that we did a FNA on and they let me read it and I correctly diagnosed it! So considering that I accidentally wiped off 2 blood smears (like a total tard) it was a much better end to the day, though not for the cat. Other than that there hasn't been much going on, I might pop in over the weekend to see if there are any interesting cases, and I work out of hours next week so hopefully some cool stuff comes in! Though everyone there has been really nice and helpful, theres an intern there that when it's slow we sort of talk things through. I feel like this week has been a preview to 5th year which is both exciting and terrifying! Its getting real!
also theres my 5th year schedule
